2026: Opening a New Chapter for Terrou-Bi Dakar
Scheduled for mid-2026, the Terrou-Bi extension marks the beginning of a new chapter for the House. A major project, conceived as a natural evolution — much like Dakar itself, a city in motion, balancing heritage and openness.
Facing the ocean, Terrou-Bi continues to grow, expand, and reinvent itself, with an unchanged ambition: to offer an experience that is ever more seamless, complete, and immersive.
266 Rooms and Suites Facing the Ocean: A New Way to Experience Dakar
With this extension, Terrou-Bi will increase its capacity to 266 rooms, including 18 suites. More than an expansion, it introduces a new way of inhabiting the space: more generous volumes, smoother circulation, and open perspectives overlooking both the ocean and the city.
The rooms and suites offer bright, soothing atmospheres, deeply connected to their surroundings. They are designed to welcome both local and international guests in a setting focused on comfort, fluidity, and extended stays.
At the top of the resort, an entire floor dedicated to suites offers panoramic views of the Atlantic — with the Madeleine Islands or the African Renaissance Monument as a backdrop, depending on orientation. These spaces are conceived as true residences, where guests can host, work, or simply retreat facing the horizon.
As part of this transformation, the lobby and common areas are reimagined as genuine living spaces at the heart of the resort. Designed to welcome, connect, and create movement — places to pass through, gather, or simply linger.
The addition of a high-end retail area and a dedicated Executive reception will further enhance the experience, with particular attention to detail and the quality of every interaction.

A True Conference Center for Meaningful Events
The extension also includes the creation of a next-generation conference center. With this new development, Terrou-Bi will offer more than 2,000 m² of event-dedicated spaces, combining existing infrastructure with newly designed areas.
The complex will feature two modular plenary rooms (480 m² divisible into three spaces, and 340 m² divisible into two), a 225-seat amphitheater, 10 breakout rooms, and dedicated catering areas.
This development reinforces Terrou-Bi’s position as a leading destination for professional and institutional events in Dakar and across West Africa. Designed for seamless flow and high-quality exchanges, it integrates naturally into the resort experience, with direct and discreet access from the suites.

An Evolution True to the Spirit of the House
Beyond the figures, this extension reflects a vision: one of thoughtful, controlled development, attentive to its environment and to those who live, work, and stay here.
Every decision is guided by a commitment to continuous improvement, valuing craftsmanship and affirming a unique identity deeply rooted in Dakar and in the family spirit that defines the House.
With this new chapter, Terrou-Bi strengthens its place among Dakar’s iconic addresses — a place that grows without losing its essence, true to what it has always been: a living house, open to the ocean, where people naturally return.
