40 YEARS OF THE COMPANY
When you arrive at Terrou-Bi, the first thing you notice is the ocean. Then come the faces, smiles and familiar routines that you encounter from one stay to the next.
Over the years, the hotel has grown alongside Dakar, building its reputation on attentive hospitality and a gentle way of life, supported by loyal staff and a constant attention to detail.
2026 marks the beginning of a new chapter, while returning to basics: over the coming months, the anniversary year will simply showcase what has always been the spirit of Terrou-Bi.

40 YEARS OF STORIES, LOOKING TOWARDS THE FUTURE.
It all began here, facing the ocean, with a simple idea: to welcome guests in a different way.
For 40 years, Terrou-Bi has been a home. A home for passing visitors and reunions, exchanged glances, shared gestures and lasting moments.
Founded and run by the Rahal family for three generations, the place is part of a family tradition where attention to guests, partners and details remains central. This constant presence still shapes the atmosphere at Terrou-Bi and its way of welcoming guests.
Here, time has never stood still. It has shaped memories, teams and an identity built on understated elegance and a deep sense of hospitality. Today, this story continues, carried forward by those who bring it to life and those who choose to be part of it.
The Terrou-Bi is transforming and evolving, not to change what it is, but to reveal what it has always been.

A YEAR TO TELL THE STORY
For this anniversary, Terrou-Bi has chosen to take its time rather than focus on a single date. Because forty years of Maison cannot be celebrated in a single day: they must be recounted and shared over time.
Throughout the year, the establishment will be speaking out and organising events based on what makes up its daily life: hospitality and the art of entertaining, the skills and expertise of those who bring it to life, music, familiar faces, but also the changes taking place at the establishment.
Each moment will leave its mark – a shared meal, a welcome, an encounter, the start of a new season, a family story, a new horizon – fragments that, when brought together, shape the present of the House and extend its history.
